The Wisconsin Association for Perinatal Care collects information about the impact of its educational efforts. Please help us by considering and answering the following questions.
Did you find information on this Web site that increased your knowledge about practices that are likely to improve perinatal outcomes?
Are you likely to change your practice, based on that knowledge?

PeriData.Net®

PeriData.Net® is a Web-based perinatal database developed by the Wisconsin Association for Perinatal Care and the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee/Center for Urban Population Health (CUPH). The development of PeriData.Net™ was funded by 48 Wisconsin birth hospitals. Subsequently, additional hospitals have enrolled.

PeriData.Net® offers hospitals the following advantages:
1. Hospitals will own and control their own data.
2. PeriData.Net® allows for HIPAA-compliant, secure transmission of birth record information to the State’s Vital Records program.
3. PeriData.Net® will allow for data migration and integration with other systems.
4. For hospitals without a perinatal database, the system will be that database. For hospitals with existing “in-house” perinatal databases, PeriData.Net® will allow for electronic submission of birth certificate information.

WAPC’s mission is to lead collaborative efforts that promote, develop, and coordinate systems of perinatal care in Wisconsin. WAPC’s interest in PeriData.Net® is to assure the availability and adequacy of perinatal data, assure comparability of data, and ultimately improve perinatal outcomes. WAPC will not have access to hospital data, nor will it be the warehouse.
